The I talk to my face. It helps young children recognize facial expressions and associate them with emotions. It also sharpens manual dexterity, reasoning skills, observation skills and language development, while increasing levels of emotional and social awareness.
Remove the cardboard frame around the large cards and observe the 6 faces: each one shows an emotion.
Help the child name each one, turning it into a game where you try to imitate the expressions with your own faces. Then, break the puzzles and ask the child to put each face back together on their card. Use the background color and the little smiley face next to the word as a guide. Finally, have fun creating funny faces by combining the eyes, mouth and hair from the different faces.
